The Chiropractic profession was founded in 1897 by
D. D. Palmer.

 

The Chiropractic profession is the second largest health care provider in the United States.

 

The order of size is based on the number of practitioners and public utilization of service render. They are Medical, Chiropractic and Osteopathic.

 
The training for Doctors of Chiropractic requires a minimun of six years of college study and clinic internship prior to entering private practice.

 

There are over 50,000 Doctors of Chiropractic serving  millions of patients each year. Doctors of Chiropractic are Licensed in all 50 states plus Puerto Rico, District of Columbia, and the Virgin Islands, along with several other countries such as Canada, West Germany, Australia, New Zealand and England.

 
Chiropractic care is covered by Medicare, State Medicaid Acts, Federal Government benefit plans, State Workers Compensation, and several international, national and local health plans.
